MRM condemns killing of scribe, soldier in Kashmir Valley

New Delhi, June 15: Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) has condoled the brutal and cowardly killing of Shujat Bukhari, Editor of Rising Kashmir and soldier Aurangzeb Khan at the hands of the terrorists in Kashmir.

It may be recalled that Sujat Bukhari was done to death in a fatal attack by the terrorists in Lal Chowk in Srinagar while soldier Aurangzeb Khas was abducted while he was proceeding to his home to join his family members in celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr and was done to death by the jihadi ultras.

In another incident the brave soldier of Indian Army Aurangzeb was abducted by the terrorists while he was on his way to his home to join his family in celebration of Eid and was killed. His bullet-ridden body was found in Pulwama district by the team of police and Army at Gussu village.

Condemning the terrorists attack senior RSS functionary and patron of MRM Indresh Kumar said that Shujat Bukhari was brave and true journalist who would not cow down while publishing the truth. His killing was an attempt to muzzle the voice of independent journalism. Indresh Kumar also paid homage to soldier Auraqngzeb and said that his sacrifice would always be remembered by the nation.

MRM National Convener Mohammad Afzal strongly deplored the terrorist attack on journalist Shujad Bukhari and soldier Aurangzeb in Kashmir and said that such cowardly attacks will not deter us from our mission.

Describing these acts as against the Islamic tenets, Afzal said “we will not be cowed down by such acts and will be always ready to offer sacrifice for our motherland.” He said that Pakistan has proved that it is not only an enemy of Muslims but it is against the tenets of Islam. It is no longer a Pakistan (meaning pious land). It should be called as “Atankisthan”, Afzal said.

Afzal condoled the death of Shujad Bukhari and Aurangzeb and prayed for their eternal peace on behalf of Muslim Rashtriya Manch.

Meanwhile, Vicve Chancellor of Makhanlal Chaturvedi University of Journalism and Communication, Jagadish Upasane also condoled the death of Shujad Bukhari. In a twitter message Upasane said that he was deeply saddened by the killing of senior Shujat Bukhari, a true Bharatiya and a concerned Kashmiri.


He demanded strong and resolute action against the terrorists who are bent upon turning the Valley into hell by silencing such moderate and nationalist voices.
