New Delhi, June 15: “You the people are bringing progressive change in the country with the use of digitalization and helping in transforming India with Reform, Perform and Transform”, emphasized Prime Minister Narendra Modi who had a candid and informative interaction with the beneficiaries of Digital India initiative.

Touched by the progress and help the government has been providing these bright minds, Pm Modi in a candid interaction with the beneficiaries got immense appreciation and thankfulness by making India digital. A beneficiary from Uttar Pradesh while speaking to PM Modi said that in the last 3 years, he has got 15 computers because of which his village has got internet accessibility. Children have been receiving digital coaching through the Digital India initiative.

He also thanked the Prime Minister for starting up Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan due to which the village has been benefitted with digital literacy. Earlier the elderly were inconvenienced but now pension-related issues are solved through technology.

PM Modi elaborated on the CSC centres set up in the country saying, "India is changing through CSC centers. Digital India should move forward for a better and new India. It is important for citizens to be digitally literate."

Being happy to see the people being benefitted by getting accessibility of digital India, PM Modi said the Digital India idea was launched with a very simple focus- to ensure more people can benefit from the joys of technology, especially in rural areas. Due to technology railway tickets can be booked online, bills can be paid online, and all this brings great convenience. The government ensured that the advantages of technology are not restricted to a select few but to be there for all sections of society. The government also strengthened network of CSCs.

Giving job opportunities through CSC, many beneficiaries have got employment and a route to earn for themselves. The children and the senior citizens are very happy with the initiative been launched and creating an easy walk-way for the people. Earlier the people had to walk for miles but now due to CSC things are easy and feasible.

Further PM Modi said that the main idea of creating digital payment is to eliminate the middlemen. Speaking about the increasing BPO centers, PM Modi said that earlier it was only the big cities that hailed BPO offices but as time is changing, the India BPO promotion scheme and a separate BPO promotion scheme for the Northeast is creating new opportunities relating to the sector.

Initiating a conversation with the Digital India beneficiaries in Nagaland, PM Modi said that with the spread of BPO units and jobs for the youth in rural areas, this is bringing in a big in change in BPO sector with the help of India BPO promotion scheme.

Accentuating on the increasing electronic manufacturing in India, PM Modi stressed on saying that the electronic manufacturing has led to a significant growth in the last four years. From just 2 mobile phone manufacturing factories in 2014, today India has 120 mobile phone manufacturing factories. This has created jobs for youth of India. It has provided employment opportunities for 4.5 lacs citizens.

With MyGovIndia initiative, people have been linked in participating in government plans. This has made people accessible to share their suggestions in policy making and be a part of governance.

PM Modi said that MyGov is a citizen-centric revolution medium, an innovative platform to build a partnership between Citizens and Government with the help of technology.

After having a good candid conversation with the beneficiaries, PM Modi urged the CSC workers to come forward and help the Prime Minister in interacting with the ‘Annadattas’- the farmers of the country. Urging the people to come forward and know the benefits garnered by the farmers of India, PM Modi said that on 20th July, he would like the CSC workers to welcome these farmers at their centres and have a hearty conversation with them.
