Amit Shah to attend ‘Chintan Shibir’ of Gujarat BJP

Ahmadabad, June 18: In order to fine-tune the strategy for upcoming 2019 general elections, BJP National President Amit Shah will be attending the two-day meeting of Gujarat BJP.

During this meeting, Shah will review the performance of party organization at various levels. He will interact will various stakeholder and officer bearers to finalize the action plan for improving the performance of BJP after nasty jolt of 2017 Gujarat assembly elections.

The Rajya Sabha MP will take the stock of the socio-political situation in the state. A major thrust will be on better coordination between the state government and party organization ahead of the crucial poll. In 2014, BJP had swept all 26 Lok Sabha segment.

On this occasion, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, Dy- Chief Minister Nitin Patel, BJP State-in charge Jitu Vagani, state Prabhari Bhupendra Yadav and other key BJP leaders and office-bearers will attend the brainstorming session which is scheduled for June 24-25

Shah to felicitate MISA prisoners

On June 26, marking the 43rd anniversary of historic emergency imposed by Indira Gandhi government, BJP National President Amit Shah will felicitate activists from Gujarat who were imprisoned under MISA act for protesting against government’s draconian move. The event is being organized by state BJP.

On June 25, 1975, then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had declared emergency across the country. Those stood against the government had faced several atrocities for opposing emergency.
