Sriram Raghavan to helm a biopic on India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient Arun Khetarpal

Mumbai, June 18: After the successful outing of Badlapur, director Sriram Raghavan is all set to narrate the inspiring tale of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra. Arun Khetarpal was posthumously awarded a Param Vir Chakra for his bravery during the 1971 war with Pakistan.
Under the banner of Maddock Films, Dinesh Vijan will bankroll the period drama based. Post Badlapur, this will be the second collaboration between Dinesh Vijan and Sriram Raghavan. The shooting will kick-start in 2019. Currently, makers are busy with pre-production.

After Vikram Batra, this will be the second film based on the life of army officer. Earlier, Director- Producer Karan Johar had announced that biopic on Kargil war hero Vikram Batra under the banner of Dharma Production.
Talented actor Sidharth Malhotra will be donning the titular role under the direction of Vishnu Varadhan. Vikram Batra was also posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his sacrifice in Kargil war.
