Trump made the announcement after talks with a senior North Korean envoy Kim Yong-Chol at the White House yesterday. Kim Yong-Chol also hand-delivered a letter from the North Korean leader to President Trump. Earlier, the envoy held two-day talks with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in New York.

On 24th of last month, the US President canceled the summit, blaming tremendous anger and open hostility from the North.
