New Delhi, June 20: Union Minister Jayant Sinha assured that central government will take all possible measure to revive the financial health of Air India. Responding to the query on proposed disinvestment plan of the national carrier, Sinha informed that an expert panel under Union Minister Arun Jaitley is deliberating on the alternate mechanism for the smooth sailing of Air India affairs.

The minister of state for civil aviation asserted that Central government is committed to the strategic disinvestment of Air India. Earlier in January, the government had planned to divest 76% stake in Air India, later it shelved the plan as the government failed to attract bids for the sale of its 76% stake in Air India before the May 31 deadline.
