Ending alliance with PDP was not a political move: Ram Madhav

New Delhi, June 21: Refuting the charges of political opportunism, BJP General Secretary, Ram Madhav said that the decision to end ties with PDP was taken keeping interested of the state and not for pity political gains.

In his recent media interaction, the Jammu and Kashmir in-charge admitted that people were unhappy with the recent unfortunate developments. He further noted public sentiment was against the stakeholders.

The BJP leader also defended the move of Governor’s rule to handle the poor state of law and order in the valley. Talking about PDP’s efforts, Madhav alleged that the senior partner was not doing enough to address the key security issues.

Denying the reports of horse trading, BJP leader clarified that allegations levelled by Omar Abdullah are baseless. He took a jibe at the former Chief Minister and advised him to revisit the political history of National Conference. 

Commenting on discrimination with Jammu and Ladakh region, Madhav stated that there was a sense of lack of development among people.
 
On June 19, BJP had snapped ties with Mehbooba Mufti’s PDP over the issue of terrorism and violence Ram Madhav who was instrumental in fixing post-poll pact with PDP had announced the big move.
