Chandra Babu Naidu writes to Prime Minister Modi, seeks cooperation on Kadapa steel plant

New Delhi/Amaravati, June 21: Keeping political differences aside, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu has requested the central government to clear the proposal of Kadapa steel plant.

In an official letter, the TDP National President urged Prime Minister Modi to revise the previous affidavit submitted in the Supreme Court.

According to media reports, Ministry of Steel on the basis of Steel Authority of India’s findings was not in favor of Kadapa venture and even termed it as an economically unviable project. The Chief Minister clarified that Steel Ministry’s previous affidavit was based on initial reports.

Referring to the Schedule XIII of the A.P. Reorganisation Act, Naidu noted that constitution of Kadapa steel plant is a statutory duty of central government.
