Moscow, June 22: In the wave of winning the FIFA World Cup 2018, the teams are moving strong to rein the thrown. In the latest, Croatia outrushed Argentina in the match that led them to step in the knockout stage. On the other side, France swiftly entered the knockout stage beating Peru.

Hanging low Lionel Messi’s dream to win the Football World Cup 2018, Argentina was humbled 3-0 by Croatia on a dramatic day at the World Cup that saw the European side join France in the knockout rounds. Croatia powered into the last 16 with a 3-nil rout of Argentina in Group D at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium in Russia last night. Second-half goals from Ante Rebic, Luka Modric, and Ivan Rakitic sealed the victory.

The defeat meant Argentina has just one point from two games and are on the brink of elimination from the tournament. The win by Croatia was an unexpected one as Argentina outnumbered as a strong team in the past matches.

In another match, France entered the pre-quarter-finals, beating Peru 1-nil, in a group C encounter at the Ekaterinburg Arena. Becoming France’s youngest goal soccer Kylian Mbappe struck in the 34th minute, giving the country a reason to enjoy and build in hopes for the trophy.
The third match between Denmark and Australia ended in a draw with both the teams scoring one goal each. Today, three league matches are scheduled. In Group E, Brazil will clash with Costa Rica at 5.30 p.m. while Serbia will take on Switzerland at 11.30 tonight. In a group D encounter, Nigeria will meet Iceland at 8.30 p.m.
