Nine security personnel injured after a terrorist hurled grenade in Tral town of Pulwama district in JK

Srinagar, June 23: At least nine security personnel were injured in a grenade attack by a group of terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Tral town on Friday. The incident came hours after security forces eliminated four top terrorists of Islamic State Jammu and Kashmir (ISJK) in Srigufwara area of Anantnag district.

 

A total of 9 security personnel including five CRPF jawans and four policemen were injured after the terrorists hurled grenade in Jammu and Kashmir's Tral town of Pulwama district. Terrorists hurled a grenade and then fired at a joint party of the state police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Court Road area.

All the injured security personnel were immediately taken to a nearby civil hospital. Immediately after the attack, the area was cordoned off for searches but terrorists successfully flew away. However, the responsibility for the attack has not been claimed by any terror group yet.

Earlier, in the day, Security forces including the joint team of army and Jammu and Kashmir police led a join operation in Srigufwara area of Anantnag district and eliminated four Islamic terrorists including Dawood Salfi alias Burhan, the chief of the terror group in the state.
