Bhopal, June 6: Education has no language bars, whether you speak in any language the main aim is that what you have learned and have you understood it or not, and if understood are you able to write the correct answer. This was proved by Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University (MPMSU) which has allowed students to use “Hinglish,” which is a mix of Hindi and English, in all written and oral examinations.

This removes the barriers from those students’ way that are not fluent in English whether in writing or speaking.

A circular issued by the varsity on May 26, stated that “Following a detailed discussion, the board of studies has decided that the students of all colleges will have the option to answer questions in their examinations in English, Hinglish (a mixture of Hindi and English) and Hindi.”

“Students and other concerned people are welcoming the decision as it is bound to help medical students especially those hailing from rural areas,” Dr. RS Sharma.

“This is not because they don’t understand their subjects but because they fail to express themselves in English, and therefore, this move has been taken in their interest,” Dr. Sharma said.
