One CRPF Jawan martyred in encounter with Maoists in Jharkhand

Ranchi, June 7: In the encounter with the Maoists in Jharkhand, a CRPF Cobra battalion soldier was martyred while a policeman was injured.

 

In Saraikela of Jharkhand, the CRPF's 209 Cobra Battalion and the police jointly carried out the encounter with the Maoists during the SADO (Search and Destroy Operation).

Also, the forces were successful to recover 1078 Amns, 1.5 Km Cordex, IEDs, explo chemical, 15 Radio Sets, Grenade, Weapons in Giridih from Maoist Dumps.

 

According to the local media, the forces got the information of 60 Maoists hidden in that area and the forces carried out the operations from Wednesday Morning which lasted till this morning.

Giving information in this regard, Saraikela SP Chandan Kumar Sinha said that the forces were sent to incident place. CRPF jawans were sent. He also added that the raiding campaign was going on in the Adaki and Barni areas late on Wednesday night. Meanwhile, the Naxalites got confronted with police. All the injured soldiers are being sent to Rims Hospital in Ranchi.

After this incident, the boundaries of Khunti and Saraikela have been sealed.
