Barkha Dutt’s ‘death-threat tweet’ gaining huge support from Pakistan

New Delhi, June 8: Barkha Dutt, a Known journalist on Thursday came out with the shocking revelation saying she and her family was threatened by some ‘powerful people’ in the establishment.

Notably, there are many journalists who are murdered or killed due to various reasons including the pattern of their reporting, political influence etc. Likewise, there are thousands of Indian journalists who get death-threat every now and then. Our society does come forward in their support but when the people of another country especially a country which supports and exports terrorism come in support then one must understand one thing, there is something wrong. One quote in Hindi is suiting best for such kind of incidents ‘दाल में कुछ तो काला है’ (Dal me kuch to kala hai).

Same happened in the case of Barkha Dutt. On Thursday she took to twitter saying she and her family was threatened by some powerful people in the establishment and questioned is this a country where she belongs too.

Here is what she tweeted, “Received chilling veiled threats and "messages" from powerful people in the Establishment today that my family and I are under surveillance - and that I will be smeared & maligned to stop me from starting any new projects. Was advised to get my house debugged. Is this my country?”

Amusingly, the Indian journalist is getting huge support from Pakistan than from India. The Pakistanis who always stand on one leg to kill Indians, are coming forward to support Barkha Dutt.

One Punam Choudhary from her twitter handles ‘@Whatever’ or @ipunamchoudhary found that an Indian journalist is getting a huge support from Pakistanis.

She questioned Barkha Dutt in a tweet saying, “Ma'am @BDUTT , happy to see you getting huge support from people. But how does an Indian nationalist journalist on this earth gets such a huge support from Pakistan?”

As many of Twiterattis supported her likewise many slammed her for dragging in the whole country while some advised her to do a police complaint rather than sensationalizing the issue in social media. A twitter handle named Samaalochak in a tweet said, “Madam, Don't just sensationalize the issue. Take logical course of filing an FIR unless it is a propaganda gimmick by you to increase your TRP. If it is just a propaganda effort by you, it is going to further damage your credibility which is already at an all-time low.”

Another Twitterati slammed Barkha Dutt for trying to gain emotional support from the people. A twitter handle named @100god said, “And u thought putting it on Twitter instead of police complaint is best way to garner attention and sympathy.”

Digging up Barkha Dutt’s past, a Twitter user named @kannan_reddy said, “You get what you deserve (in case if you are speaking truth for a change). Law of the nature.”

Twitterati Vandana Sharma said, “any proof?? we need proof to believe you kyunki jooth bolna logo ko gumrah karna aur YELLOW JOURNALISM karna toh apko bht acche se aata hai. Anyways it's good somehow like whatever is happening with you.”

Importantly, journalists like Barkha Dutt only sensationalize the issue for personal benefits and earn TRP.
