Lal Krishna Advani hails Pranab, Bhagwat for Nagpur dialogue

New Delhi/Nagpur, June 8: For the first time, responding to the former president Pranab Mukherjee’s high profile Nagpur Visit, veteran BJP leader and former Home Minister Lal Krishna Advani today showered praises on his former parliamentarian colleague for sharing the dais with RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat.

In an official statement, Advani said, former President Pranab Mukherjee’s visit to the RSS headquarters and his “illuminating exposition of the noble idea and ideals of Indian nationalism” as a “significant event in our country’s contemporary history”.

He lauded Pranab for gracing the concluding ceremony of Tritiya Varsha Sangh Shiksha Varg. The former RSS Pracharak also heaped praises on RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat for taking a path-breaking step by inviting stalwart like Mukherjee to an RSS event. Advani also commended the reach out programme crafted under the leadership of Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat.

Referring to the speeches delivered by the two leaders, Advani observed that there was significant concord and resonance in the views expressed by both of them. He further added that developments in Nagpur have paved the way for a unique example of dialogue transcending ideological affiliations and differences.
