Washington, June 8: Finally the much-anticipated summit between the United States and North Korea will see the daylight on June 12. United States President Donald Trump cited that he is ‘well prepared’ for the upcoming summit and it would not be just ‘photo-op’.

Assigning a tourist resort, Singapore has designated a special event at the Sentosa Island where the historic summit will take place. The summit is expected to be covered by over 2500 journalist from the world. There was initially much uncertainty over whether the summit would go ahead at all, and it was briefly called off last month by Trump after a dispute with the North Koreans over the key issue of denuclearization.

The Ministers yesterday exchanged in-depth views on further developing the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries and on the situation ahead of the summit. The historic meeting was earlier canceled due to disagreements between the US and North Korea regarding the Pyongyang regime's possible denuclearisation.
This will be the first time that leaders of North Korea and the US will meet face-to-face after almost 70 years of confrontation and 25 years of failed negotiations over North Korea's nuclear development programme.

Sorting a bilateral talk with the US President Donald Trump, Japan Prime Miniter Shinzo Abe also said that he is willing to talk directly with North Korea in a bid to resolve the stale issue of abductions of Japanese citizens and foster better ties with Pyongyang.

The US Presiden promised to raise the highly sensitive issue of the Japanese nationals kidnapped by Pyongyang in the 1970s and 1980s with Kim Jong Un at next week's high-stakes summit in Singapore. Shinzo Abe added there was no change in Japan's policy to pursue real peace in Northeast Asia.
