Nagpur, July 10: There are rich and poor people in the society. Some of them are happy but away from bliss while some experience bliss but not able to enjoy the riches of life. All this happens because of the influence of negative thinking. With a view to making the people of the state happy and blissful and secured and to encourage positivism among them the government is planning to introduce ‘Happiness Ministry’ said Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, PWD and Agriculture Minister Chandrakant Patil.

He was delivering a lecture on “Contribution of PWD and Revenue departments in basic infrastructure development in Maharashtra” at the parliamentary workshop for students of political science and public administration. This workshop was organised by Commonwealth Parliamentary Board of the state legislature. MLA Vinayak Mete, Additional Secretary Sunil Zore and deans and professors and students from various universities of the state were present on the occasion.

Patil said that the government is focusing on development through various schemes, but people are not happy about it. Many patients are there sans anyone caring for them and this leads to an inferiority complex among them. A particular psychological frame is necessary to serve the patients. The state government is trying to instil the feeling of ‘live for the country’, and ‘help others’, and intends to end the sorrow through such activities.

He said that positivity is not a commodity available easily in the market. But this experiment of creating positivism will definitely help the development process in Maharashtra. That is why, taking a clue from Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh, the state government is also considering setting up ‘Happiness Ministry’, he said.
