New Delhi, July 10: Focusing on strengthening the Special strategic partnership, India and South Korea discussed a wide range of possible and positive development on the various field. Releasing out a vision statement the discussion concentrated more on developing economic and business relationship.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and South Korea President Moon Jae-in held wide range delegation talks to review the entire gamut of bilateral ties. Addressing the media, PM Modi said that India's Act East Policy and the New Southern Strategy of South Korea has inherently remained the same as earlier. PM Modi warmly welcomed the idea of President Moon that the relationship of India and South Korea is a base column of his New Southern Strategy.
Agreeing to PM Modi’s statement on the strategic policies of both the countries, S Korean Prez Moon Jae-in said that 'New Southern Policy' will make India and Korea's key partner for cooperation. Since 3 years PM Modi's 'Act East Policy' has shown immense importance to co-operation with South Korea.
For the last 45 years, India-Korea has developed bilateral relations in various fields & in 2015 on the occasion of PM Modi's visit to South Korea the relation escalated it to the special strategic partnership.
Giving a major thrust to employment in India, PM Modi emphasized the fact that South Korea has undoubtedly given job opportunities for the people. Also, South Korea has immensely invested in creating new options for employment and explored the country to imbibe new talent. Connecting to India’s Make in India mission, South Korea has helped the country in every possible way of generating jobs.
The Prime Minister hailed the vision of South Korea stating that the progress of the country has been very impressive and inspiring. The common man and the entire country stand together to achieve a common vision committed to a similar dream and purpose, the goals that seem impossible can be achieved. The progress of the country has been a unique example in itself.
Delivering the joint statement PM Modi and S Korean Prez Moon Jae-in stated that a total of 7 MoU have been signed by both the countries. The bilateral talks concluded with warm remarks from both leaders stressing the spirit of cooperation between the two nations.
