Chhattisgarh wipes out 2 Maoists from its Sukma district of Bastar region

Raipur, July 11: Chhattisgarh was successful to wipe out two Maoists who were killed in an encounter with security forces in Sukma district of Bastar division. The State Police said a joint team of Special Task Force and District Reserve Group was on a search operation in Chintagufa area when Maoists ambushed the team.


 

Maoists first triggered an IED blast and then opened fire on the personnel. The personnel retaliated leading to encounter. One security personnel was also injured.

The security personnel during search operation also recovered weapons, explosives, and other camping materials.

After the fire exchange from both the sides, the other Maoists were successful to run into dense forest taking advantage of darkness
