Srinagar, July 13: To save the dignity of our nation, Brave hearts continue to give supreme sacrifice! At least two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were martyred on Friday and another was injured in a terrorist attack in south Kashmir's Anantnag district.

Notably, a group of terrorists fired upon a team CRPF’s 96 battalion party in Achabal area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district. In this heinous and coward act of terrorists, two CRPF jawans were martyred while another was injured.

A security official said, "The CRPF men along with police were on law and order duty during which unknown terrorists opened fire at around 11 am resulting in injuries to three personnel. They were evacuated to hospital, however, two of the injured jawans succumbed to their injuries."

The identity of the martyred jawans could not be established immediately. However, soon after the incident, the area was cordoned by the security forces to hunt down the terrorists involved in the attack.

The attack took place on a day Kashmir is observing a complete shutdown to observe Martyrs Day. The attack also comes day after an Indian Army killed one terrorist after a fierce encounter that took place at Kandi forest area in North Kashmir's Kupwara district. Unfortunately, an army commando Sepoy Mukul Meena of 3 PARA regiment was martyred and another soldier suffered injuries in a gunfight.

Importantly, the Indian security forces have led a massive war against terrorism and terrorists in the inner parts of Jammu-Kashmir and forward areas. Therefore, Anti-Terrorism operation is continued with such a speed that more than 206 terrorists were eliminated by Indian troops last year.
