Andhra Pradesh BJP president Kanna Lakshmi Narayana accuses state govt of phone tapping; writes to HM Rajnath Singh

Vijayawada, July 16: Andhra Pradesh BJP president, Kanna Lakshmi Narayana has levelled a serious allegation against the Chandra Babu Naidu led TDP government. According to media reports, the former Minister has accused state government of alleged phone tapping.

Expressing concern over the activities of state intelligence department, the BJP leader in an official letter requested Home Minister Rajnath Singh to monitor the reported attempts of telephone tapping on the behest of Chandra Babu.

Kanna Lakshmi Narayana, a former Congress leader was appointed as the state-in-charge of BJP Andhra Pradesh. Once a close aide of later Chief Minister YSR Reddy, Kanna is considered as the bete noire of TDP National President Chandra Babu Naidu.

In a bid to fine-tune the socio-political equation ahead of the crucial 2019 general and state assembly election, BJP appointed Kanna Lakshminarayana, a prominent Kapu leader, as the new Chief of Andhra Pradesh Unit. A five-time MLA from Guntur district, Kanna will lead the state unit in 2019 assembly polls.

Earlier, the BJP leader had slammed state government over the stone pelting incident against BJP President Amit Shah at Tirupati. He went on saying that, that state government had deliberately ignored the security of Shah as TDP President wanted to eliminate the BJP National President.
