New Delhi, July 17: BJP Rajya Sabha MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar today slammed Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy for distributing expensive gifts along with the invitation of the all-party meeting which is scheduled on July 18.

The Karnataka BJP leader took to Twitter and questioned the purpose sending brand new Apple iPhone worth Rs 1 lakh to the members of Karnataka region.
The Karnataka Government had given an iPhone, leather bag and a folder along with the invitation requesting state MPs to attend the crucial meeting at Karnataka Bhavan.
Chandrasekhar took serious objection to the misuse of hard-earned money of taxpayers and returned the alleged gifts presented by the state government.
The upper house member suggested that Kumaraswamy government should first address the issue of pending salaries of civic workers instead of unnecessary expenditure on expensive gifts.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar was nominated as a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha by BJP earlier this year.
