Aiming a bull’s eye on leveling up Vidharbha, CM Fadnavis attracts major investment with “Made in Vidharbha” for defence

Nagpur, July 18: Eyeing a major business and investment base in Nagpur and the Vidarbha region, the ‘Made in Vidharbha- Aerospace and Defence’ summit opened a wide spectrum for aviation and defence hubs. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the Vidarbha Defence Industries Association website and signed MoUs giving a major boost to the industrial revolution in Nagpur and Vidharbha.

Strategically located Nagpur, the state Nagpur and Vidarbha have a tremendous potential for the aviation industry. Nagpur & Vidarbha is a land of opportunities for defense manufacturing. Boosting aviation industry the Chief Minister pitches for the entire airplane to be manufactured in the vicinity of Vidarbha.

 

The state Maharashtra aims at creating huge skilling facilities in Vidharbha and Nagpur. The industries would benefit more from human resource! Vidarbha Defence Industries and the state of Maharashtra will unite to create an entire ecosystem for defence manufacturing and to partner in all your efforts in this direction.

 

Apart from developing the defence and manufacturing hub in the state, the Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) announced its plans to come up with artillery fuse manufacturing facility at Butibori in MIDC. The defence PSU, which is already making fuses for artillery shells since a year eyes on grabbing a major investment benefit in this segment. With the Made in Vidharbha agenda on lines of becoming a defence hub, BEL has sought to pitch in with making electronic fuses in helping the army and defence force of the country.
