Dubai, July 19: In the latest ODI rankings released by International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday, Indian Skipper Virat Kohli strengthened his position at the top of rankings for batsmen by touching a career-high 911 points while Kuldeep Yadav took a big leap and entered into the top-10 of the bowlers' chart at sixth.

Though Indian team lost the ODI tournament against England by 1-2, Virat Kohli’s sublime performance by scoring a total of 191 runs at an average of 63.66 led him to strengthen his top spot in ICC rankings. The performance not only helped him hold on to the top spot but also gave him his career-best rating points to 911.

With Root moving up, other top batsmen had to make way. Babar Azam moved down one spot to No.3, the out-of-action David Warner slipped two spots to fifth, while Ross Taylor went down one position to No. 6. Rohit Sharma, however, stayed at No.4, with his 137* in the first ODI helping his cause.

On the other side, Kuldeep Yadav, who is a left-arm wrist-spinner took nine wickets in the series against England, including six for 25 at Trent Bridge, which rewarded him with a rise of eight places to a career-high sixth position. Yadav is the second India bowler and the fifth spinner to feature in the top-10 after number-one ranked Jasprit Bumrah. India's Yuzvendra Chahal is included as 10th top spinner.

However, there were no changes in the rankings of the top five. Jasprit Bumrah remains on top while Rashid Khan, Hasan Ali, Trent Boult and Josh Hazlewood remained on 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th spot respectively. There was also no change in the top five all-rounders, with Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan leading the field. In the Team Rankings, number-one ranked England has moved to 127 points after gaining one point, while India have dropped one point to finish on 121 points. This means the four-point pre-series gap has now extended to six points.
