New Delhi, July 19: As soon as Monsoon session began in Parliament, opposition parties including Congress and Telugu Desham Party (TDP) moved a no-confidence motion against the Centre but PM Modi-led government is confident of defeating it.

Notably, position parties including Congress and TDP moved no-confidence motion against the Centre citing mob-lynching and various issues on which the discussions will be held today. However, Centre is confident of defeating it.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar on Wednesday said, "We are ready to give a befitting reply to the opposition on the no-confidence motion. We are 100 percent confident of defeating it. The NDA is united and would vote against the motion."

Questioning the intention of opposition behind bringing the no-confidence motion, Minister Ananth Kumar said that however, it is their democratic right. He further added that the opposition will again raise those issues which they have been raising and spread lies about the government. “We are ready to give answer of each question. It will provide us an opportunity to inform the people about the achievements of the government,” he noted.

Ananth Kumar also said that NDA is united and vote against the motion. "We are running a government of full majority. The NDA is having governments in 21 states. People of the country have rejected them in every election held in last four years and have shown full confidence over the leadership of PM Modi," Ananth Kumar concluded.
