Terrorists abducted policeman Muhammad Saleem Shah from his residence in JK; search operation launched

Srinagar, July 21: It’s not been a month when a policeman Javid Ahmad Dar was abducted and killed by a group of terrorists. In yet another unfortunate incident of terrorists targeting policemen and other personnel of the security forces, a police constable was kidnapped from his home in south Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Friday.

 

Notably, a trainee police constable named Muhammad Saleem Shah was kidnapped by a group of terrorists from his home in the Mutalhama area of Kulgam district in south Kashmir. However, security forces launched a massive search operation to trace the abducted policeman.

The police official confirmed the abduction of Muhammad Saleem Shah. He said, Muhammad Saleem Shah was undergoing training in Police Training School, Kathua adding that he had come home on leave. “So far none of the terrorist group has taken responsibility of abduction of Muhammad Saleem Shah,” he added.

Two weeks before, a bullet-riddled body of a Jammu and Kashmir police constable Javid Ahmad Dar was found by locals in Kulgam's Pariwan. Javid Ahmad Dar was abducted from near his home at Vehil village in Shopian when he was shopping at the local medical shop.

Last month, a Special Police Officer (SPO) went missing in Pampore district of Jammu and Kashmir. The officer reportedly left Pampore police station with an AK-47 rifle along with him. This comes less than a month after an Indian Army personnel, Aurangzeb, was kidnapped and later killed by terrorists in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir.
