Connecting “Sur” with “Sampark se Samarthan”, Amit Shah meets iconic singer Lata Mangeshkar

Mumbai, July 23: Continuing to woo the audience by their exemplary performance wrapped in four years, the ‘Sampark Se Samarthan’ campaign has reached its next level. In its latest league of visit, Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah met iconic singer Lata Mangeshkar in Mumbai on Sunday. The BJP President was accompanied by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

The BJP Chief was scheduled to meet Mangeshkar on June 6, but the visit was canceled as she was down with food poisoning. He was accompanied by Devendra Fadnavis and Ashish Shelar to Mangeshkar’s house. On June 6, Mangeshkar had tweeted in Hindi that she had spoken to Shah over the phone and expressed her inability to meet him since she had suffered from food poisoning. She also requested that they can meet during his next visit to Mumbai.

 

In today’s meeting, Shah presented the Bharat Ratna awardee with a booklet on the achievements of the Narendra Modi government in the last four years. On June 6, Shah had called on actress Madhuri Dixit and industrialist Ratan Tata as part of his party’s “Sampark for Samarthan” campaign.

 

BJP National President Amit Shah launched 'Sampark for Samarthan', a door to door initiative aimed at making people aware of the transformative initiatives undertaken by PM Modi’s government in the last four years met former Army Chief General Dalbir Singh Suhag. During this meeting, Amit Shah briefed ex-Army general about the achievements and initiatives undertaken by PM Modi-led government.

 

Amit Shah also met constitution expert Subhash Kashyap at his residence in Delhi as a part of BJPs 'Sampark for Samarthan’ initiative. However, Amit Shah will personally meet at least 50 people as part of the 'contact for support' programme.

The BJP president has previously met former cricketer Kapil Dev, former Lok Sabha secretary general Subhash C Kashyap, former chief justice of India RC Lahoti and yoga guru Baba Ramdev.
