No-trust motion is a nasty jolt for TDP: Former Union Minister Krishnam Raju

Vijayawada, July 24: Senior BJP leader and Former Union Minister Krishnam Raju said that outcome of the no-trust motion has exposed the hollow claims of TDP leadership. Speaking to the media, Raju said that people of Andhra have full faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Responding to the personal attack on BJP leadership, the soft-spoken Krishnam Raju launched a blistering attack on Chandra Babu Naidu led TDP government. The actor turned political slammed ruling party for personal allegations against Prime Minister Modi. The rebel star also questioned TDP for joining hands with Congress during the no-trust motion backed by Congress.

Commenting on the ongoing development issues like Polavaram, Duggarajapatnam port, Kadapa Steel Plant, Visakhapatnam Railway Zone and Tribal University, Raju stated that BJP led Central government is committed to the welfare of the Andhra People. He mentioned that the Central government would soon come up with an official announcement for the same.

When asked about the prospects of BJP in upcoming general polls and assembly election, the former Union Minister hoped that BJP would emerge as the major political force in the coastal state.

Talking about TDP’s ‘betrayal’ campaign against BJP, the rebel star stated that the ruling party in order to hide its failures deliberately fuelling sentiments of Telugu people. “They should come clean on vital facts,” he said.

On state Capital Amaravati, the BJP refuted the claims of TDP over fund blocking by the center. He advised that TDP should have patience and mutual understanding for desired results. The BJP leader assured that Centre would take all possible steps to provide financial aid for developing capital city Amaravati.

veteran actor Krishnam Raju is the uncle of Baahubali actor Prabhas. A former Congress leader, Raju was the members of Vajpayee cabinet. He contested Lok Sabha Poll from Kakinada segment of Andhra Pradesh with a thumping majority of over 165,000 votes. He was on the advisory committees of the Information and Broadcasting and Commerce and Industry Ministries during 1998-99.
