Nurturing bonds of commerce and trade! “India is willing to address trade deficit with Uganda” says PM Modi

Kampala, July 25: Creating a strong base with India in Uganda, Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced the Indian industry as a wide spectrum of opportunities and development ideas. Strengthening its economic relation with Uganda, PM Modi highlighted India’s growth route and the transformative changes taking place in the country.

Addressing the India-Uganda Business Forum, PM Modi said that India was ready to work with Uganda in the fields of capacity building, HRD, skill development, innovation and also in adding value to the abundant natural resources available in this country. PM Modi in the India Uganda Business Forum organized by Private Sector Foundation Uganda further added that both the countries have to fully exploit the favorable conditions for doing business between India and Uganda.

 

PM Modi emphasized on India willing to take steps to address the trade deficit between India and Uganda. India and Uganda share a win-win situation for all the people in both the countries. PM Modi believes that if the ideas are systematically strategized both the countries can reach heights. Comparing the financial technicalities, President Museveni suggested in improving trade balance and therefore approving the same, PM Modi approved the idea and aims to take forward the trade balance.

 

Innovation is the key and India takes Uganda forward with the framework of empowering the youth and work together in creating great achievements. It is important for Uganda to develop and walking together with India both the nations can achieve great accomplishments. India is welcoming the youth and students of Uganda and also is extending a supporting hand to empower the country through machines which PM Modi believes will help the country grow and develop economically and technologically.

 

Assuring the youth of Uganda that they need to understand the areas of interest between both the countries and therefore PM Modi emphasized the need to develop a capacity building of people, Human resources, and skill development of the youth. This is a major drive that cannot be taken away from the youth and source people, especially for economic growth.

 

Uganda President Museveni while talking on the business forum exhibited the stance of Uganda in supporting India and offered opportunities in several sectors for Indian businesses. Further, the President exhorted the business community from both countries to tap the opportunities available for enhancing trade and investment.
