Ahead of the 2019 polls, Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray to visit Ayodhya, Varanasi

Mumbai, July 26: Ahead of the crucial 2019 general election, Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray will visit the state of Uttar Pradesh. According to media reports, Senior Milind Narvekar, a close aide of Uddhav Thackeray had erected the poster of Sena Chief which conveys the national outreach programme of the regional party.

It says “Chalo Ayodhya, Chalo Varanasi”.

Responding to the developments, Senior Leader and former Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut termed it as the normal tour of Thackeray. According to Raut, the Shiv Sena Chief will visit Ayodhya and offers prayers to Lord Ram. Later he will move to Varanasi. Thackeray will participate in the Ganga Aarti. Uddhav is also scheduled to perform Pooja at Kashi Vishwanath Temple.

This announcement came amidst the stringed relationship between BJP and Shiv Sena. Recently, Uddhav Thackeray had criticized apex leadership of BJP for not fulfilling the promises like Ram Mandir and revocation of article 370.

The NDA partner also blamed the ruling party for politicizing the cause of Hindutva just for electoral gains. On several occasion, Thackeray questioned the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and BJP Chief Amit Shah.

In 2017 assembly polls, BJP had swept the poll and former MP Yogi Adityanath assumed the office of the Chief Minister whereas, Varanasi is the parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Modi.
