Terming bifurcation of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh as unjustly act, the Chief Minister noted that despite several hurdles, TDP government had developed the state as one of the best states in the last four years. Reacting to the criticism of YSR Congress on special category status, the TDP President slammed BJP for twisting the provisions of 14th finance commission. Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his replay on no-confidence motion stated that extending special status to any state was not possible because of 14th finance commission’s recommendations.
As reported by Times of India, commenting on the preparations of 2019 general elections, Babu urged people to vote for TDP. He went on saying that by winning all 25 Lok Sabha segment, the yellow army would play a crucial role in electing next Prime Minister. He announced that TDP will support that leader who will fulfill the promise of promises special category status and other benefits to the State.
