BJP Prez Amit Shah to visit Kerala today; aims to gear up party for 2019 general elections

Thiruvananthapuram, July 3: 2019 election preparations have been started as BJP chief Amit Shah will arrive in Kerala today on a day-long visit to gear up the party.


 

BJP sources said, one of the main agendas of the party chief is to take stock of the preparations for the coming Parliament election and to work out strategies in this regard.

After arriving in Thiruvananthapuram in the morning, Shah will attend a party core committee meeting and also address leaders from selected districts. He will also hold discussions with the leaders from Lakshadweep.

Shah's visit assumes significance in the wake of uncertainty continuing over the selection of the party's new state president after the appointment of incumbent Kummanam Rajasekharan as the Governor of Mizoram in May.

He will have a meeting with party core committee in the city followed by an interaction with Lok Sabha in charges.

In the evening, he will be meeting six Shakti Kendra charges and review the stock of the work being done. Flowed by this, he will be participating in ‘Sampark for Samarthan’ campaign.
