Madhya Pradesh to become ‘Medical Pradesh’ soon: Ayushman Bharat Yojana to step in this Independence Day

Bhopal, July 3: Madhya Pradesh is going to have a medical revolution as world’s biggest healthcare scheme; Ayushman Bharat Yojana will be implemented in the state from this Independence Day.


 

The Yojana will provide an annual Health Security Cover of 5 lakh rupees to each family. A total of 84 lakh families of the deprived section have been included in the Ayushman Bharat scheme on the basis of socio-economic caste census.

An expenditure of over Rs. 16 hundred crores at the rate of Rs. Twelve hundred per family has been estimated.

An amount of Rs. 600 crore in the form of Grant-in-Aid will be provided by central government, whereas around Rs. 400 crores will be shared by the state.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed with National Health Agency for the implementation of the scheme.

The benefit of the scheme will be given in cashless form through government and private hospitals.

The Ayushman Bharat scheme will help reduce out of pocket medical treatment expenses of citizens.

Ayushman Bharat Yojana is the scheme under the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Swasthya Suraksha Mission.
