Srinagar, July 30: This happened never ever before! A Special Police Officer (SPO) Mudasir Ahmad Lone, who was abducted by a group of terrorists, returned home to his family on Saturday night.

Notably, a group of three terrorists on Friday night entered SPO Mudasir Ahmad Lone’s house in Pulwama’s Chanktakar village and abducted him. However, terrorists let SPO Mudasir Ahmad Lone go free after his mother made an appeal.

Hareefa, Lone’s mother, addressed the media at her home and appealed the terrorists to forgive her son and allow him to return to his family. In a video which later went viral, Hareefa said, “He is my lone son among three daughters, Mudasir had to come back home quit the job and was to declare it this Friday in the mosque. However, he got engaged in some work and didn’t get time.”

She further added, “You are also my own children. I request you to kindly set him free and he will quit the job and apologise for all his mistakes.” Mudasir was working as a cook and was not involved in anti-militancy operations in Jammu and Kashmir.

The incident brings back memories of the killing of Jammu and Kashmir police constable Mohammad Saleem Shah, who was found dead after he was abducted by terrorists from his home in Kulgam. Earlier this month, police constable Javed Ahmad Dar was kidnapped from his village in Shopian and killed by terrorists. Last month, Army jawan Aurangzeb was kidnapped and killed in Pulwama when he was going home for Eid.
