Mumbai, July 30: Days after the all-party meeting on Maratha reservation, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray will meet Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on the issue of ongoing Maratha stir.

According to media reports, the much-awaited meeting will take place at Matoshree, where the Shiv Sena Chief will convey the stand of Sena Lawmakers.

Earlier, taking a cue from Chief Minister’s statement on Maratha reservation, Thackeray in a recent media interaction demanded a special assembly of Maharashtra assembly.

On July 27, the Maharashtra Chief Minister held a meeting of party leaders of both the Houses in order to deliberate on long pending demands of Maratha community.

On the other hand, during his meeting with Maratha leaders, Fadnavis urged pro-Maratha outfits to wait for the report of the centrally appointed backward commission.

From the last couple of weeks, Maratha groups are staging a state-wide protest for 16% reservation in education and Job.

Meanwhile, senior Congress leader and leader of the House Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil has sought Governor Vidyasagar Rao’s intervention in resolving the contagious matter of Maratha Reservation. The delegation of Congress led by former Minister today met Maharashtra Governor and submitted a memorandum about Maratha reservation.
