Congress President Rahul Gandhi meets DMK Chief Karunanidhi; calls him a strong man

Chennai, July 31: Congress National President Rahul Gandhi today flew down to Chennai and met DMK stalwart M Karunanidhi at Kauvery hospital. He was accompanied by senior Congress leader Mukul Wasnilk and other state TN Congress leaders.
Calling Karunanidhi a tough person, Gandhi said that the former Chief Minister of Tamil is doing well and is in stable condition. On this occasion, the Congress President also extended best wishes from UPA Chairman Sonia Gandhi to the family member of Karunanidhi.
Earlier in the day, representatives of Malaysian Indian Congress today called on Karunanidhi and prayed for his faster recovery. The Malaysian Indian Congress members termed Karunanidhi as the leader for Indians in Malaysia.
On Monday, representatives of Sri Lanka President, Maithripala Sirisena visited Kauvery hospital where DMK Chief M Karunanidhi is undergoing treatment for urinary tract infection.
