Hailing justice in educational institutes Yogi Sarkar presents new dress code for madrassa students

Lucknow, July 4: Implying justice in educational institutes, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to call for a new dress code for madrasa students to end their "demarcation" from other school pupils. The decision has been taken in order to prevail justice and eradicate any stance of differences among the children.

Earlier the Yogi Adityanath Government had decided to bring in the modern education system in the madrassa institutes. The state government is yet to disclose the new dress code for madrasa students but said it might also fund it.

State Minister for Muslim Waqf and Haj Mohsin Raza said, "The aim of the UP government is to bring madrasas at par with other educational institutions in every sense. Till now, students in madrasas have been wearing 'kurta-pajamas' but now this dress code will make it more formal. We might also try to meet the expenses."

Stating that the students dress show clear demarcation, the new dress code will enable the children to be at par with the other educational institutions.

The state government has already gone ahead with its plans to introduce NCERT books in the madrasas of Uttar Pradesh in a bid to bring their students at par with their counterparts in other schools and to modernize the education in madrasa affiliated to the State Madarsa Board. This will make teaching science, English and maths compulsory at a higher level in the state. The move is set to affect 16,000 madrasas across the state.
