Chennai, July 6: Refuting speculative reports about the content of ‘Vishwaroopam 2’, Veteran actor Kamal Haasan said that his latest offering is not a political film. In his recent interaction with leading Tamil magazine Ananda Vikatan, the ace actor stated that Vishwaroopam 2 is an intense story which sheds light on global politics and conflict.

Post political foray, Vishwaroopam 2 will be the first movie of Makkal Needhi Maiam founder. The first installment of the spy -thriller was mainly shot in the USA but the second version will have more visuals from India.

Vishwaroopam series is a brainchild of Kamal Haasan where he plays the character of RAW agent Wisam Ahmed Kashmiri. Written and directed by the ace actor, Vishwaroopam 2 will hit the screen on August 10.

 

On June 11, the action-packed trailer of Vishwaroopam 2 was released on various social media platforms. Amir Khan had released the Hindi version of Vishwaroopam 2 where Tamil and Telugu trailers were shared by Shruti Haasan and Jr NTR. The trailer has clocked more than 2.5 Million digital views.
 

Recently, two songs ‘Naanaagiya Nadhimoolamae’ and ‘Gnyabagam were released by the makers of Vishwaroopam.

Vishwaroopam 2 is being bankrolled by Raajkamal Films International in assassination with Aascar Ravichandran's Aascar Films. Director Rohit Shetty and Reliance Entertainment have joined hands with Raajkamal Films International for presenting Hindi version.

Besides Kamal Haasan, the film also stars, Rahul Bose, Pooja Kumar Andrea Jeremiah Shekhar Kapur, Nasser, Jaideep Ahlawat, Wahida Rehman. Music composer Ghibran has been roped in for music and Shamdat Sainudeen is the director of photography.

In 2013, Vishwaroopam was mired in the controversy after the protest of Muslim groups for showing the community in a bad light. Anticipating the law and problem, the then Chief Minister J Jayalalitha had stalled the releases of Haasan’s dream project.

After Vishwaroopam 2 the maverick actor who is busy with Tamil version of television reality show Big Boss will be next seen in the multi-lingual action-comedy ‘Sabash Naidu’. He will be teaming up with director Shankar for Indian 2, much-anticipated sequel of intense socio-political drama.
