Five illegal arms smugglers with weapons arrested by Rajasthan police in Bikaner, Mahajan area

Jaipur, July 7: At least five illegal arms smugglers with nine pistols and 20 live cartridges were arrested by Rajasthan police in Bikaner and Mahajan area on Friday.

 

Notably, four illegal arms smugglers including Angrez Singh, Lakhveer Singh, Vinod Jat and Nirmaljeet Singh were arrested in the Goluwala police station area with 12 bore pistol, two country-made pistols, one 315 bore pistol and four live cartridges and a 32 bore pistol loaded with four cartridges.

While another accused was arrested in the Mahajan police station area with four pistols and eight live cartridges. However, the case has been registered under arms act and preliminary investigation revealed that these arms smugglers used to sell the weapons in different parts of Rajasthan.

ADG (ATS-SOG) Umesh Mishra said that the two teams of police personnel led the operation after receiving the specific information and arrested five illegal arms smugglers from different parts of Bikaner division, Rajasthan. He further added that the accused are being interrogated thoroughly.
