Reiterating all-round development, PM Modi lays foundation stone for 13 infrastructure projects in Rajasthan

Jaipur, July 7: Giving a massive fillip to the development of Rajasthan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday laid foundation stone for 13 infrastructure projects including Integrated Infrastructure package for walled city of Udaipur, Elevated Road Project for Ajmer, Water Supply and Sewerage projects in Ajmer worth over Rs. 2,100 crore in the state.

 

After the inauguration of infrastructure projects, PM Modi held a rally in Jaipur and said that the BJP-led NDA Government’s sole aim was inclusive and all-round development. He added that in efforts towards building a New India, corruption would not be tolerated.



At the event, PM Modi also highlighted how multiple initiatives of the Centre as well as the BJP Government in Rajasthan were ushering in a positive difference in the lives of people of the state. He further added that at present in Rajasthan’s Vasundhara Raje-led government, the work neither gets stuck nor it gets lost.



Remembering the past of state, PM Modi said, "Never forget the tough circumstances in which Vasundhara Raje took oath in 2013. When she took an oath, systems were not working properly but now she has changed the work culture in the state."



Lauding the efforts of Rajasthan government, PM Modi said, “The way the programme in Jaipur has been organized is commendable and hearing beneficiaries is wonderful. There are some people who will never appreciate good work done, be it by the Centre or by a state government, but everyone must see the happiness of the beneficiaries here.”


PM Modi also mentioned that the central government is working towards doubling the farmers' income by 2022. “So far 14.5 crore farmers have received soil health card across India while in Rajasthan, over 90 lakh farmers have received soil health card,” he added. The Prime Minister also stated that the BJP government fulfilled the promise of increasing the minimum support price of farm produce by 1.5 times.

Appreciating the effort of state, PPM Modi said that Rajasthan is taking 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' Andolan to new heights. “A recent international report shows that more than 5 crore people have been pulled out of poverty in the last 2 years,” he added.


Reiterating central government’s motto of all-round development, he said, “The government is working with the motto of 'sabka sath sabka vikas' to spread 'vikas' across India.” “Our aim is inclusive and all-round development,” the PM added.

PM Modi said, “Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, over 80 lakh toilets were built in Rajasthan,” adding that more than 2.5 crore jan dhan accounts were opened in the state and over 6 lakh poor people were given houses. “Under the Ujjwala Yojana, more than 33 lakh mothers and sisters were given gas connection for free,” he noted.

Taking a dig at the opposition, PM Modi said, "Some people have started calling Congress a bail-gaadi as many leaders and ministers are on bail nowadays." Slamming the Gandhi family and Congress party, PM Modi said, “People who want dynasty politics can continue but our aim to protest India and take its pride to new heights is unbreakable and our intentions are pure.”

The Prime Minister stated that the opposition has raised questions on our country's army and their potential. “Indian citizens and Rajasthan's people will never forgive such people,” he added.


PM Modi concluded his address urging people of the state to vote for BJP. “He said, Next year Rajasthan completes 70 years. Let us reaffirm our commitment of creating a developed Rajasthan, which will play a pivotal role in the building of a New India.”

Earlier, in the day, PM Modi interacted with beneficiaries of seven central government and five state government’s flagship schemes which includes the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana and others through an audio-visual presentation. Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje moderated the presentation.
