Mumbai, July 6: “I don't think I would ever disown my past because my past is which has brought me here,” says Karenjit Kaur or more fondly known as our very own ‘Sunny Leone’! Coming from a normal Punjabi family, the journey of this young beauty has been very fascinating and people surely want to know more about ‘Karenjit Kaur’ than ‘Sunny Leone’.

Speaking in an interview, Sunny said, “When the girls showed me the magazines I just saw that, I felt, 'Wow,' I didn't think it was horrible. I don't know certain people out there have this switch - I call it a switch - that says, 'Yes this is okay, no it is not.”

At first, getting accustomed to this new world was difficult as the society and her parents wouldn’t accept and thought it was weird. At the age of 19 working as a penthouse pet was like entering a new world full of shoots, magazine, television, radio.

But a penthouse pet cannot have a name of Karenjit Kaur! Yes, you guessed it right! And thus came to the name Sunny Leone! The magazine wanted a name and so Karenjt suggested getting her first name Sunny which was initially her brother’s nickname and the magazine gave her last name as Leone and like this Sunny Leone became a known face of the Penthouse magazine.

Becoming the penthouse model gave me the exposure to the next phase of my life which gave me odd thoughts but as they say, life gives you chapters and this was the turning point of her life when she was exposed to the magazine.
