In Singapore, Chandrababu Naidu pitches for Kadapa steel plant; invites top Australian firm

Singapore, July 9: Amidst the strained relationship between Center and Andhra Pradesh government over Kadapa steel plant, Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu invited Australian firm Fortescue Metals Group to set up a steel plant in the state, most probably Kadapa district.
On the sidelines of World Cities Summit, Naidu met Gautam Verma, Chief Representative, Europe, India and Southeast Asia, Fortescue News Group and discussed the future investment opportunities in the coastal state.
During this meeting, Naidu assured that state government would provide all possible resources and ecosystem for the successful rollout of the proposed venture.
