Nagpur, July 9: Responding to the controversy irrupted by the comments of Sambhaji Bhide, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today announced that state government will probe the alleged statement of the Shivpratishthhan founder.
During a public meeting in Pune, Sambhaji Bhide had claimed that the teachings of Manusmriti, a controversial document holds more significance than the teachings of saints like Dnyaneshwar and Tukaram.
Irked by Bhide’s reported statement, opposition parties like Congress and NCP demanded a strict action for hurting the sentiments of people.
In a bid to pacify the opposition attack, addressing the state assembly, Fadanavis ordered a probe against the alleged controversial compassion of saints like Dnyaneshwar, Tukaram with Manu. The Chief Minister assured that proper action would be taken after probing the content.
