Emulate values envisioned by great personalities: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat

Bengaluru, August 13: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat has urged society especially youth to get rid of symbolic celebrations of the birth and death anniversaries of great people. Instead, Bhagwat suggested that one must try to imbibe the ideas envisioned by the personalities.

Speaking at the book launch programme here, Bhagwat observed that people love to preach great stalwarts like Chhatrapati Shivaji but did not want to follow his teachings and values in their day to day life.

A special biography titled as 'Nirmalya' in Kannada on late RSS Pracharak Krishnappa was launched by RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat. Penned by Chandrashekar Bhandari, the book narrates the story of senior RSS functionary Krishnappa, who died in 2015.

Sharing anecdotes about the late RSS leader, Bhagwat said that Krishnappa was a great person who dedicated his life for the welfare of for the nation and society.

On this occasion, veteran Kannada author Bhairappa, RSS Sah-Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosbale, C Mukund, Union Minister Ananth Kumar former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa and other dignitaries were present.
