JD(S)-Congress Coalition will ensure overall development of North Karnataka region: CM Kumaraswamy

Hubballi, Aug 13: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy once again re-iterated that JD(S)-Congress Coalition government will address all the issues faced by the people of North Karnataka region.
 
Speaking to the media here, Kumaraswamy said that state government will take all possible steps to ensure the overall development of the state.

Commenting on the proposed shifting of key offices to Suvarna Vidhana Soudha in Belgavi, the Chief Minister maintained that state government’s move will keep a close tap on 13 North Karnataka districts.

Kumaraswamy announced that special programmes will be carried out in order to strengthen the agriculture sector.

On the front of employment generation, Kumaraswamy mentioned that that Karnataka government would consult industrialists and key market players in a bid to boost the job creation for locals.
 
The Chief Minister recently came under fire after presenting his maiden budget last month. Expressing displeasure over the provisions of the budget of Kumaraswamy, Several north Karnataka outfits blamed HDK for alleged negligence of the north Karnataka. 
 
North Karnataka is considered as the most backward region of the state whereas southern part enjoys better resources and opportunities.
