Nagpur, Aug 17: Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who was the Pracharak of RSS had never distanced himself from the organization even after assuming the office of the Prime Minister. On several platforms, Vajpayee used to underline his association with RSS.
In February 2007, marking the occasion of Shree Guruji Janma Shatabdi Samaroh (Centenary celebrations of Shri Guruji alias Madhav Sadashiv Golwalkar, the second RSS Chief), the former BJP President shared the dais with the then RSS Chief K S Sudarshan. That was the last public appearance of Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Nagpur.
People of Nagpur vividly remember the precious moments where their beloved Atal Ji had presented a poem based on the life of Shri Guruji.
At the beginning of his speech, Atal Ji announced that he would present one poem which lured audiences but in the midst of narration, it slipped out of his mind. Later K S Sudarshan reminded him for the same.
Finally, Atal Ji presented few lines on the journey of RSS.
