Flow of global tributes to Atalji still on; Israel, Japan, Czech pay their sincere condolences to statesman’s departure

New Delhi, August 18: Departure of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee has left millions of eyes with tears. While the entire world has paid its tribute in one or the other way by hoisting their flags half past or paying tributes, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe have paid their condolences on the AjatShatru Atalji’s demise.


 

In a statement by PM Netanyahu, he said, “I send my condolences to the family of former Indian Prime Minister Vajpayee. He was a true friend of Israel. Israel stands with India during this time of hardship.”

 

Foreign Minister of Israel Yuval Rotem also paid tributes to Atal Bihari Vajpayee “I was deeply saddened to learn of the death of a giant - #India's former PM #AtalBihariVajpayee. I offer my heartfelt condolences to the people of India at their loss.”

 

Along with this Rotem posted his picture with Atalji on twitter.

Japanese PM Shinzo Abe paid his sincere condolences to Atal Bihari Vajpayee by writing a letter to PM Modi. He wrote, “I was deeply saddened to learn of the demise of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.”

 

He further wrote that on the behalf of the government and people of Japan, I would like to convey my sincere condolences to the government and people of India and the bereaved family.

Along with this, the embassy of India in Tokyo has announced the opening of Condolence book for the visitors on August 20. In its tweet, it wrote that the Embassy of India announces with profound grief the demise of former Prime Minister of India, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee on 16 August. A Condolence Book for the departed dignitary will be open for visitors at the Embassy on 20-21 August 2018 from 1000-1200 hrs and 1500-1700 hrs.

Prime Minister of Czech Republic Andrej Babis has also condoled the demise of Atalji and wrote a letter to PM Modi. In his letter it read that on the behalf of the government of the Czech Republic and on my behalf, let me convey, Excellency, my deepest condolences to your government.
