BJP to expose Chandra Babu’s double standards on Special status; Amit Shah to criss-cross Andhra from September

Vijayawada, Aug 2: Terming TDP’s campaign against central government as malicious and misleading, BJP State general secretary V Satya Murthy said that BJP will expose Chandra Babu’s wrongdoing in upcoming 2019 polls. Speaking to the media after BJP’s core committee meeting here, Murthy informed that BJP National President Amit Shah will kick-start poll campaign in September.

Days after the official announcement, BJP State Prabhari V Muraleedharan, and Sunil Deodhar on Wednesday chaired a crucial internal meeting with the office-bearers of AP BJP. On this occasion, national joint secretary V Satish, BJP AP Chief Kanna Lakshminarayana, Daggubati Purandeswari and other key leaders were present.

Briefing about the meeting, the State general secretary stated that the ruling party at the center will counter the hate campaign initiated by TDP. He maintained that a state-wide mass reach-out programme will be launched to showcase the achievements of Modi government. The BJP leader mentioned that this programme would highlight the Contribution of BJP government towards the coastal state.

Launching a frontal attack on Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu, Satyamurthy told that TDP’s double standard on Special status indicates the indecisiveness of state government. The BJP leader also took dig at Chandra Babu’s ongoing campaign against the alleged non-cooperation by the center. Commenting on the strength of AP BJP, the State general secretary said that party’s main area of thrust would be on strengthening boot level engagements.

Ahead of the crucial 2019 general election and Andhra Pradesh assembly polls, BJP Chief Amit Shah appointed senior Kerala BJP leader and Rajya Sabha V Muraleedharan as poll in-charge of Andhra Pradesh. A formal Kerala BJP Chief and Rajya Sabha MP from Maharashtra will look after the political affairs in the state. Sunil Deodhar, the man behind the successful rollout of mission Tripura has been roped in for the assignment of Andhra Pradesh.
