Kangana Ranaut teams up with Ashwini Iyer Tiwari for Sports drama 'Panga'

Mumbai, Aug 22: National award-winning actress Kangana Ranaut who is known for her content-based choices has signed a film reportedly based on the life of national level kabaddi player.

Titled as 'Panga', 'Bareilly Ki Barfi' fame director Ashwini Iyer Tiwari will helm the project under the prestigious banner of Fox Star Hindi. Besides Kangana, the film also stars veteran actress Neena Gupta and Punjabi singer Jassi Gill.

The young storyteller took to Twitter and officially announced the project. 'Panga', will hit the screens in 2019.

Ashwini Iyer Tiwari is known for projects like starrer Nil Battey Sannata, Bareilly Ki Barfi starring Swara Bhaskar and one Tamil film Amma Kanakku with Actress Amala Paul. This will be the first collaboration between 'Queen' actor and Ashwini Iyer Tiwari.

Currently, Kangana is busy with her upcoming magnum opus 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi'. On the occasion of Independence day, captain of the ship Krish unveiled the intense first look poster.
