Zomato, Akshaya Patra Foundation teams up for Kerala flood victims

Mumbai, Aug 23: In order to provide healthy food to Kerala flood victims, Online food-delivery platform Zomato has joined hands with Akshaya Patra Foundation, the world’s largest Mid-Day Meal provider. Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal took to Twitter and made an official announcement about the same.

Days after the devastating floods in Kerala, the digital platform introduced the section 'Help Kerala' where the user can donate meals for people who are staying at relief camps. 

As quoted by The Quartz, E-commerce websites like Paytm and Amazon have initiated extensive online fund-raising drive where the collected corpus will be donated to the Chief Minister’s relief fund. Other platforms like Flipkart, BigBasket came together with non-profit organizations like Goonj and Oxfam India for urgent delivery of necessary stuff for daily needs.
