On Thursday, the Nagpur MP chaired a crucial meeting with the key officers of Swedish bus operator Scania and successfully pursued the transport firm for restoring services in the orange city.

Gadkari assured that issues pertaining to the functioning of Eco-friendly buses will be addressed soon. On this occasion, Swedish ambassador Klas Molin, Nagpur collector Ashwin Mudgal and other officials were present.

Earlier, the service provider was reportedly unhappy with the functioning of the local administration over financial issues. Speculations were rife about the termination of operations by the Swedish company.

As reported by Times of India, the transport solution firm in an official statement thanked Gadkari for setting the long pending issue and assured that Scania will continue its association with Nagpur for sustainable and efficient public transport service.
